Day 23: Stopping the Strive to Earn Love
Romans 5:1-2
1Therefore, since we have been justified through faith, we[a] have peace with God through our Lord Jesus Christ, 2 through whom we have gained access by faith into this grace in which we now stand. And we[b] boast in the hope of the glory of God.
Devotion
Peace is a factual reality, not a temporary feeling. Because you are justified, you have permanent, open-door access to the Father's grace. Living in the security of God's unconditional love naturally draws others to you. Sin completely fractured our world, but Jesus brings total peace to the soul by making things right from the inside out.
Prayer Point
"Thank You, Lord, for the stable, permanent peace who I call Jesus."
The Daily 10-Minute 'Abide in Me' Rhythm
Commit to establishing this strategic baseline rhythm together as a family every day:
Be Still (~2 Min): Take a moment to quiet your thoughts and still your mind. Silence your devices and allow yourself to pause, embracing the awe of God's majesty. It's a chance to breathe, reflect, and connect with Him.
Truth Affirmation (~5 Min): Read the scripture assigned for today. As you reflect on it, gently say aloud: 'Jesus, You are the Vine, and I am a branch. In this moment, I choose to embrace where You have placed me, trusting in Your guidance and care.'
Prayer (~3 Min): Do not burden yourself with a stressful checklist. Instead, take a moment to commit your day to the Holy Spirit. Trust in His gentle guidance; He will lead you in a way that feels reassuring. You're not alone in this journey.
